EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, BLUE LAKE UNITED METHODIST ASSEMBLY, ALABAMA
Blue Lake United Methodist Assembly provides camp and retreat ministries to the Alabama-West Florida Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. Located in the Conecuh National Forest in Southeast Alabama. This position requires a mature adult with deep Christian faith consistent with the beliefs of the United Methodist Church. Vision, energy and passion for camping and retreat ministries. Creative program skills including experience and leadership. Ability to manage systems (financial and operational)and people. The ability to oversee buildings, grounds, and food service. Possesses a welcoming spirit of radical hospitality and a drive for quality mission driven ministry. A bachelors degree in related area or experience and training. An applicant should have 3-7 years experience. Soon to be fully retired, former conference director interested in volunteer or paid temp position in early part of 2009. Open to various jobs, not necessarily administration. Anticipated availability could be January, early/mid February & possibly March or April. Prefer warm climate.
